Los Angeles, CA., December 10, 2019 — RackNerd, a Los Angeles based hosting company has announced the launch of its second Los Angeles datacenter (referred to as “DC-02”). The N+1 datacenter facility is located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles’ Financial District at 707 Wilshire Boulevard. RackNerd has selected to further grow its Los Angeles footprint to better serve the needs of its enterprise and diverse client base.
“As we continue to onboard enterprise and managed clients who hold us to the highest security and redundancy standards, we quickly realized the value that a second, standalone Los Angeles datacenter would bring. With this expansion, we are now in a position where we can optimize the delivery of redundant solutions within the Los Angeles region. In Los Angeles, RackNerd now provides Dedicated Servers, Private Cloud solutions, DRaaS (Disaster-Recovery-as-a-Service) options, flexible Colocation, Virtual Private Servers, and advanced DDoS Mitigation services out of two separate datacenter facilities.” explains Dustin B. Cisneros, CEO of RackNerd.
RackNerd already occupies a sizable footprint within the CoreSite Alameda datacenter, known as RackNerd’s “DC-01”. The expansion in Downtown Los Angeles within the Aon Center (RackNerd’s “DC-02”) will mark its second Los Angeles datacenter. Network carriers in DC-02’s BGP blend include: CenturyLink, Cogent, GTT, and NTT. Additionally, China Telecom, China Unicom, and ChinaNet are also included in this location’s network mix to better serve clients in the Asia region. Featuring all premium carriers, this location is also a member of CoreSite’s Any2Exchange — which provides direct peering and improved network performance to hundreds of facilities on the West Coast.
“RackNerd’s fault-tolerant DC-02 uses diverse conduit paths to a multitude of other carrier buildings in the surrounding areas of downtown Los Angeles — making this an ideal facility for clients with sensitive network latency requirements. Redundant dark-fiber connects each building and divergent paths ensures unparalleled network reliability.” Cisneros added.
Often referred to as Los Angeles’ own version of Wall Street, the Aon Center is one of the city’s most significant destinations within the financial district. RackNerd commissioned DC-02 in December 2019, with sights on continued global datacenter expansion, both nationally and globally.
